Bill McFadden

Bill McFadden is President of GreenHill Investment Reporting and one of the driving forces behind the firm’s evolution into one of the financial services industry’s most trusted independent performance measurement platforms. With more than 25 years of experience as a financial services executive and entrepreneur, Bill brings a rare combination of technical depth, business acumen, and client-first leadership to every aspect of GreenHill’s operations.

Before joining GreenHill, Bill founded and led Sixline, an investment advisory consulting firm, where he worked directly with wealth management firms on performance measurement strategy and operational improvements. His earlier career includes serving as a lead in Business Development for CGI, a global technology and IT services company, and as Vice President of Business Development at SunGard, a leading provider of financial services technology. He also co-founded Investor’sView, a portfolio management, trading and regulatory compliance workflow venture that was ultimately acquired by SunGard — a testament to both the quality of the platform and the strength of the team behind it.

At GreenHill, Bill oversees the strategy, product development, and client relationships that have made ReportQuest the platform of choice for wealth managers, bank trust departments, independent RIAs, and family offices across the United States. Under his leadership, GreenHill has achieved TSG Certification from The Spaulding Group — an independent verification of calculation accuracy — and SOC 2 Type II compliance, reflecting the firm’s commitment to both precision and data security.

Bill’s perspective on performance reporting is shaped by decades of firsthand experience with the challenges financial institutions face: integrating data across custodians, producing accurate and defensible client reports, managing compliance obligations, and doing all of it efficiently with lean teams. That experience informs everything GreenHill builds and every conversation the firm has with its clients.
